Welcome to Paradise Adventist Academy

A Christian High School In Paradise, California

About Us

We’re dedicated to building Christ-centered, character-driven students.

At Paradise Adventist Academy we strive for academic excellence at all times, but it’s not our only priority. We value and invest in the relationship our students develop with Jesus.

Jesus promised his friends in Matthew 6:33, “Seek first the kingdom of God… and all these things will be added unto you.” We believe the high standardized test scores our students achieve and their future successes are evidence of this promise being fulfilled at PAA.

Since 1908, we’ve been developing students with the character and skills they need to succeed. We invite you to visit Paradise Adventist Academy for yourself to see if it’s the right fit for your family.

Our Mission

Our mission is to develop well-educated citizens, who do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.

Our Mission Expanded

Our goal is to provide opportunities for the fullest development of the physical, mental and spiritual faculties of our students. We call this list of character traits and skills “School-Wide Learning Objectives.” Our desire is to see every student grow in these areas and reach the fullness of who God created them to be.

What's in the Name — SDA?

The Seventh-Day Adventist denomination began in the mid 1840’s with a group of people from various denominations (mainly Methodist, Presbyterian, and Baptist). Their study of the Bible led them to believe that the return (advent) of Jesus was imminent. Further study led them to believe that the seventh day of the week was the biblical day of worship. Because of the relative uniqueness of these two beliefs, they became known as Seventh-day Adventists.

From the beginning, Adventists have taken seriously Jesus’ command to “go throughout the world and preach the gospel.” Today the Adventist church has over 18 million members in over 200 countries.

Adventists place a high value on Christian education. Today, with over 7,200 schools and over 1.5 million students, Adventists operate the second largest faith-based educational system in the world.
